What is invoice OCR?

Invoice OCR (optical character recognition) reads the text on an invoice image or PDF and turns it into machine-readable text. InvoiceHaven runs OCR first, then uses an AI model to turn that text into structured fields such as supplier, invoice number, dates, subtotal, GST and total.

Yes. InvoiceHaven accepts scanned invoices as PDF, JPG or PNG files and runs OCR on them before extraction.

Can I photograph an invoice with my phone?

Yes. On a mobile device the Upload page has a Take a photo button that opens the phone camera. The captured image goes through the same upload, extraction, review and export workflow.

Yes. Extraction captures invoice line items alongside header fields, and line items are included in the Excel export.

Does InvoiceHaven check GST?

Yes. InvoiceHaven performs mathematical checks on GST and invoice totals. When an invoice has no GST amount, the check is reported as not applicable rather than as a pass.

InvoiceHaven recalculates the arithmetic relationship between subtotal, GST and total, and flags invoices that do not add up so they can be reviewed. It also flags possible duplicate invoices.

No. InvoiceHaven is a document-to-data tool. It does not keep your ledgers, file returns, or provide accounting or tax advice.

What happens if invoice processing fails?

If processing fails, the document is marked as failed and the pages reserved for it are refunded to your balance. Each document can be attempted up to three times.

How do page credits work?

Processing consumes one page credit per invoice page. Pages are reserved when processing starts and charged when it succeeds; if it fails they are refunded. New accounts start with 10 free pages, and paid plans include a monthly page allowance.

Do purchased pages expire?

Plan allowances are monthly and reset at the start of each billing month with no rollover, including on annual plans. The 10 free pages on a new account are a one-off lifetime allowance.
